Hotel Kopanice

Žítková with its 250 inhabitants is situated in the heart of Moravské Kopanice and represents a typical village for this region with a scattered build-up area. This extended village was established in 1750 and became famous thanks to its fortunetellers, well known as Goddesses of Žítková. Its inhabitants were herding cattle, goats and sheep and sold home-made wooden tools. They often left for seasonal works. There are some interesting natural areas in this region. Especially the natural reservations Hutě and Pod Žítkovským vrchem, but it is worthy to mention also Bedové or Koprvasy, unprotected landscapes with valuable kinds of plants.
