The area is renowned for the White Carpathians extensive flowery meadows belonging to the richest in Europe. Botanists at the polls counted over 100 species of higher plants in an area twenty meters square. At the White Carpathian meadows there are several dozens of legally protected plants, of which more than 20 species of wild orchids.
This highly endangered orchid family of plants live in symbiosis with fungi and is sensitive to any changes. Therefore we regard it as one of the reliable indicators of environmental quality. Bílé meadows are typical fragmented and massive solitary oaks, lindens, cranes and hawthorn. These help solidify flysch soil and prevent some of landslides.
From the science perspective, these flowery meadows of the Carpathian particularly noteworthy for the high occurrence of critically endangered plant species. Thanks to one of the most valuable meadow habitats in Europe and the study area of global importance.
